Obituary of Frances Pauline Stafford

Bedford – Frances Pauline Stafford, 89, of Bedford, died at 5:05 pm on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at her residence. Born March 23, 1925 in Oolitic, IN, she was the daughter of John Andrew and Lora (Miller) Tolliver. She married Wayne Stafford on December 17, 1942 and he preceded her in death on February 26, 2002. She was a wife, mother and homemaker. She had been a seamstress at the Turner Doll Factory in Heltonville. She was a member of the Judah Church of Christ where she taught Sunday school for thirty years. Survivors include three daughters, Fran Cobb and Claudia Treasa (Terri) Stillions both of Bedford, Anna L “Ann” (Donald) Hillenberg of Heltonville; two sons, Danial D. “Danny” (Evelyn) Stafford of Heltonville and Claude Thomas “Tommy” (Brenda) Stafford of Bedford; eighteen grandchildren; forty-three great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren and a brother, Wayne Franklin (Edith) Tolliver of Bedford. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, June Owens and Joyce Holloway; four brothers, John Tolliver, Jr. whom she cared for in her home from 1965 until his death in 2000, Delbert, Joseph and Jerry Tolliver; two son-in-laws, Opal Cobb and Joel Ward Stillions. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 23rd in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Lyman Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Judah Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, January 22nd at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
