Obituary of Donald Ray Richards

Griffith, IN – Ray Richards, 85, of Griffith, IN, died at 8:15 pm on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Core Nursing and Rehabilitation in Bedford. Born September 15, 1929 in Terre Haute, he was the son of Elmo and Sarah (McMillian) Richards. He married Janetta Daniels and she survives. He had been employed as a railroad worker. He retired as a truck driver for Alcan Aluminum in Terre Haute. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the Bible Baptist Church of Terre Haute. Survivors include his wife, Janetta, of Griffith; two sons, Daniel Ray Richards and wife, Lori, of Garner, NC and Darren Wayne Richards and wife, Jo Ann, of Griffith; three grandchildren, Nathan, Jonathan and David. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Shirley (Danner) Richards and a brother (in infancy). Memorial services will be conducted at 7:00 pm on Thursday, January 22nd at the Bible Baptist Church in Terre Haute with Pastor Bob Parker officiating.
