Obituary of Doyle F. Jones

Springville Doyle F. (Little Boy) Jones, 79, of Springville, died at 2:40 pm on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at his residence. Born December 25, 1931 in East Oolitic, he was the son of Harley and Bessie (Phillips) Jones. He married Pat Roberts on May 6, 1954 and she survives. He was a technician for AT &T and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War. He was a member of the Fayetteville Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Pat, of Springville; a daughter, Pamela Younger and husband, Joey, of Williams; a son, David Jones and Paige of Bedford; four grandchildren, Misty Deckard (Curt), Jessica Bailey (Nathan), Aaron Jones and Brandon Jones; four great grandchildren, Taylor and Hailey Deckard, Noah and Jonah Bailey; a brother, Raymond Jones and wife, Maggie of Bedford. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Reginald, Warren and Wayne Jones and his twin, Dale (Big Boy) Jones; two sisters, Ilene and Wyrtis. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Friday, July 22nd in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Kenny Walden officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens where military rites will be accorded by members of the Gillen Post #33 American Legion. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, July 21st and from 9:00 am on Friday, July 22nd until the hour of service at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
