Obituary of Kenneth Martin Plummer III

Bedford-Kenneth Martin “Marty” Plummer, III died at 10:00 am on Sunday, January 04, 2015 at the Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation. Born April 15, 1954 in Lawrence County he was the son of Kenneth M., Jr. and Ruth (Stailey) Plummer. He married Ellen Roberta Canada on August 4, 1972 and she survives. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bedford, and Oolitic Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and reading. Survivors include his wife Roberta of Bedford, two sons: Jeremy Martin Plummer of Bedford, and Jesse Martin Plummer of Bedford; his mother: Ruth Plummer of Bedford; one sister Lee Ann Plummer of Bedford. He was preceded in death by his father, paternal grandparents: Kenneth and Amy Lee Plummer, maternal grandparents: Jesse and Pearl Stailey. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 9th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Dr. Kregg Burris and Rev. Richard Tallman officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Friday at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
