Obituary of John M. Owens

Heltonville – John M. Owens, 59, of Heltonville, formerly of Hawaii, died Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Born December 26, 1955 in Bedford, he was the son of John M. and Sybil (Carmichael) Owens. He was a former manager of nightly custodians for dormitories at Indiana University. He was a member of the Morman Church on Kauai, HI and an avid photographer. Survivors include a daughter, Jennifer Marie Crawford and partner, Lauren of Pagosa Spring, CO; a son, John Owens of Bloomington; a sister, Jami Ryan of Heltonville. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 2nd in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary.
