Obituary of Jerry Alan Craig

Bedford – Jerry Alan Craig, 63, of Bedford, died at 11:28 pm on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Community South Hospital in Indianapolis following a five month illness. Born May 4, 1951 in Bedford, he was the son of Emil Arthur and Norma Joyce (Patton) Craig. He married Deborah (Debbie) Todd on January 15, 1972 and she survives. He was employed at Cook Medical and had formerly worked at Regal-Beloit Corp. in Mitchell. He graduated from Bedford High School with the class of 1969. He had been a 4-H leader for over twenty years and was a member of Lawrence Co. Cattleman’s Assoc. Survivors include his wife, Debbie, of Bedford; a son, Trevor Craig and wife, Melinda, of Bedford; two grandsons, Ty Alan Craig and Trey Hunter Todd Craig; two brothers, Pat Craig and wife, Darla, of Ohio and Kevin Craig and wife, Polly, of Bedford; his mother, Norma Corbin, of Bedford; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 31st in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor David Ferry officiating. Burial will follow in Knott Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, December 30th and from 12:00 noon until the hour of service of Wednesday, December 31st at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Pallbearers are: Trevor Craig, Kevin Craig, Patrick Craig, Tommy Todd, Jerry Spires and Chad Hess. Honorary pallbearers are: Pat Craig, Trey Craig, Ty Craig, Travis Craig and Terry Deckard.
