Obituary of Rowana Harp

Bedford Rowana Harp, 94, of Bedford, died at 2:50 am on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at the Stonebridge Health Campus. Born March 9, 1914 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Grover Cleveland and Malinda Rosa (Martin) Henderson. She married Lovell L. Harp on May 18, 1941 and he preceded her in death on December 18, 2000. Rowana had worked at the Toggery and at Bernard Williams Drug Store in Bedford. She was a member of the Hillcrest Christian Church in Bedford and the Business and Professional Womens Club. Survivors include one daughter, Karen Rodgers and her husband, Richard of Walled Lake, MI; two grandchildren; Jennifer Wykoff and her husband, Michael of West Bloomfield, MI, Laura Swearingen and her husband, Chad of Sealy, TX; four great grandchildren, Trevor Lee Blankenship, Brandon and Taylor Swearingen and Stacey Fleming. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; one brother, Gordon Henderson and one sister, Mary Janette Lytton. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, November 24th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Mark Fugate officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 am until the hour of service on Monday, November 24th at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Donations Information .
