Obituary of Warren Jones

Oolitic Warren Jones, 80, of 301 Lafayette Street, Oolitic, went home to glory at 11:15 pm on Tuesday, July 13, 2004 from his residence. Born September 15, 1923 in Lawrence County, he was the son of Harley and Bessie (Phillips) Jones. He married his childhood sweetheart, Rosemary Bush on December 11, 1943 and she survives. He was a retired tool and die maker at General Motors in Bedford and a member of Oolitic Pentecostal Church. Surviving with his wife, Rosemary are two daughters, Linda Dianne Inman of Bedford and Debra Susan Wisely of Bowling Green, KY; one son, Dennis Lee Jones of Oolitic; eight grandchildren; one great granddaughter; three brothers, Doyle (Little Boy) Jones of Springville, Wayne and Raymond Jones both of Bedford; one sister, Ilene Burton of Bloomington. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Dale (Big Boy) Jones and Reginald Hughes and one sister, Wyrtis Fitzgerald. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 17th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Marty Speer officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, July 16th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
