Obituary of Catherine R. Hannum

Oolitic Catherine R. Hannum, 82, of 709 Maple Street, Oolitic, died at 1:24 am on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Dunn Memorial Hospital. Born July 5, 1927 in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of John and Effie Stewart. She married Warren Hannum in November 1943 and he preceded her in death in November 1982. She had worked at Home Laundry in Bedford and Leonards Linen Service in Bloomington. She did sewing for people and enjoyed quilting and crocheting. Survivors include a son, Warren Dale Hannum and companion, Diane Golubski of Judah; a daughter, Elizabeth Hurley of Oolitic; grandchildren, Ayshea Sharpe and husband, Cleve of Oolitic, Alan Hannum of Chapel Hill, Robby Hurley and companion, Stephanie Berry of Oolitic, Phyllis Wilson and husband, Lloyd of Bedford; great grandchildren, Arminda, Ian and Sagan Sharpe, Talan Hurley, Junior and Carolyn Wilson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Carolyn Burgess; great granddaughter, Brogan Hurley; brothers, Charles and Dean Stewart, Lloyd Godsey; sister, Audrey Owens. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 29th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Tom Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, January 28th at the Day & Carter Mortuary
