Obituary of Ora B. Hamilton

Bedford Ora B. Hamilton 85, of Bedford, died Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at his residence. Born March 24, 1925 in Martin Co., he was the son of Bert and Fairene (Wagoner) Hamilton. He married Ada Mae Ashcraft on February 28, 1947 and she survives. He was a heavy equipment operator for sixty-five years, a life-time member of the I.U.O.E. Local #181 and a member of the Hillcrest Christian Church. Ora was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed by family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Ada; two sons, Michael Ora and wife, Vickie, of Heltonville, Timothy Mark and wife, Teri of Springville; four grandchildren, Traci Graves and husband, Jim of Springville, Crystal Siegfred and husband, Kyle of Morgantown, Traven Hamilton and wife, Annette of Bedford, Hunter Hamilton of Heltonville; seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Ora is preceded in death by two grandchildren in infancy, his parents, two sisters, Barbara Jean Terrell and Viola Mae Rambeaut; two brothers, Richard and Robert Hamilton. Funeral Information In accordance with Oras wishes, graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 17th at the Owensburg Cemetery with Charlie Scott officiating. Burial will follow. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, April 16th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
