Obituary of Frank D. Hallett
Shoals Frank D. Hallett, Sr., 67, of R 3 Shoals, died November 3, 2003 in Oolitic.
Born May 30, 1935 in Montana, he was the son of George and Myrtle (Knight) Hallett. He graduated from Rocky Mountain College in 1961 in Billings, Montana with a degree in industrial arts. He was a teacher for many years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Korean War and was involved in the evacuation of Formosa. He was discharged in 1956. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge #2442 of Shoals, Moose Lodge and the American Legion. His hobbies were woodworking and fishing.
Survivors include five sons, Ted and Lee Hallett both of Arizona, Lynn and Paul Hallett both of Iowa and Frank Hallett, Jr. of Shoals; one sister, Mary Smith of Montana, one brother, Lloyd Hallett of Texas; eighteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 7th at Spring Hill Cemetery in Shoals with Mark Otero officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm on Friday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
