Obituary of Ada Marie Haley

Bedford Ada Marie Haley, 82, of Bedford, died at 12:30 am on Monday, March 22, 2010 at Westview Nursing and Rehab. in Bedford. Born February 10, 1928 in Bedford, she was the daughter of J. Arthur and Lillie M. (Rodler) Beedie. She married Robert J. Haley on October 19, 1946 and he preceded her in death on February 15, 2004. She retired as a quality controller from General Motors in 1990 and attended the Free Methodist Church in Bedford. Ada enjoyed U.A.W. retirees, spending time with family and traveling. Survivors include three daughters, Debra Parkes and husband, William, of Bedford, Janett Haley-Stapp and husband, Tim, of Bloomfield and Barbara Sylvester and husband, Gary, of Harrodsburg; three grandchildren, William R. Parkes, Valerie Byers and Tammy Henderson all of Bedford; twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister, Barbara Slinkard; three brothers, Jack, Norman and John Beedie. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 25th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Ronnie McLain officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, March 24th and from 9:00 am until the hour of service on Thursday, March 25th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
