Obituary of Marjorie M. Artis

Kokomo, IN- Marjorie M. Artis, 88, of Kokomo, IN, passed away on Monday, October 18, 2010 at the Howard Regional Health System, surrounded by family members. She was born January 4, 1922 in Lawrence Co., IN, to Elmer and Pearl Miller. On June 7, 1958, she married Glenn Artis, Kokomo who survives. Surviving in addition to her husband, are son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Brenda Gaines, Kokomo; grandchildren, brother and sister, Scott and Stacey Gaines, Kokomo; great grandchildren, Bethany Overpeck and Makinze Gaines; great great grandchild, Cheyenne Overpeck, Crawfordsville. Surviving in addition is a loving family of nieces and nephews, Bill Evans, Zionsville, David Evans, Fayetteville, Toni Fields, Colorado, Marilyn Hayes, Bedford and their extended families four generations. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Thelma Evans; three brothers, Dale Miller, Don Miller and Bill Miller. Marjories family wishes to express their sincere appreciations to the doctors and nurses who lovingly cared for her during her illness. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 23rd in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, October 22nd at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
