Obituary of Barbara J. Guthrie

Heltonville Barbara J. (Jenkins) Guthrie, 71, of 2563 Ramsey Ridge Road, Heltonville, died at 8:55 am on Friday, December 3, 2010 at Westview Manor in Bedford. Born February 11, 1939 in Bedford, she was the daughter of George A. and B. Eileen (Mathews) Jenkins. She was a graduate of the Bedford High School and had worked at the Older Americans. She was married to Frank E. Guthrie for fifteen years. She was a member of the Friendly Bible Church in Oolitic. Survivors include two daughters, Alice Childers and husband, Ernest of Heltonville and Helen Hess and husband, Eric of California; a son, David Guthrie and wife, Alice of Bloomfield; seven grandchildren, Barbara McDonald, David Anderson, Robert Anderson, Margert Roberts, Jesse Roberts, Isaac Guthrie and Emily Guthrie; seven great grandchildren, Whitney King, Kobe Andrew, Elizabeth Anderson, Maghan Anderson, Robert Anderson, II, Nathaniel Anderson and Micheal Roberts; two brothers, Tom Jenkins and wife, Linda and Jim Jenkins and wife, Mary all of Buddha and one sister, Loretta Barris and husband, John of Bloomfield. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral Information Cremation was chosen. Graveside committal at a later date at Carlton Cemetery with Pastor Tim Jenkins officiating.
