Obituary of Wilma R. Goode

Bedford Wilma R. Goode, 86, of 350 Eastwood Dr., Bedford, died Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at her residence. Born May 11, 1922 in Odon, IN, she was the daughter of Sherman C. and Dewey V. (Grubbs) Stickles. She married James F. Goode on May 28, 1942 and he died on March 3, 1993. She had worked in electronics for NWSC CRANE, RCA and was a data processor for Indiana State University. She was a member of the Englewood Baptist Church and Al-Anon. Survivors include three daughters, Ruth Medina and husband, Juan, of Mitchell, Sharon Thompson of Crane, IN, Patty Rocco and husband, Tim of Bedford; one son, James F. Goode, Jr. of Crane, IN; one sister, Ada Shamblin of Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Ken Mosby, John Mosby, Juan Medina, Jr., Jennifer Medina, Shelly Laughlin, Jessy Rocco, Jamie Goode and Andy Goode seventeen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and three nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, George Sherman Goode; one daughter-in-law, Diana Goode; two sons-in-law, Corky Thompson and Jon Reid; two grandsons, Micky Goode and Joey Goode; one great grandchild, Samantha Laughlin; one sister, Mary Anna Sturgis. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 2nd from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. David Ferry officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, May 1st at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
