Obituary of Clovis Dean Arthur

Bedford Clovis Dean Arthur, 69, of 903 Heltonville Road East, Bedford, died at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, August 9, 2005 at his residence following a lengthy illness. Born January 17, 1936 in Lawrence County, he was the son of Curtis and Lois A. (Weddle) Arthur. He married Casilda (Cass) Denney on December 21, 1956 and she survives. He was a graduate of Needmore High School with the class of 1954 and employed at Architectural Stone Co. in Bedford for thirty-five years before retiring in 1991. He was a member of the Baptist faith. Surviving with his wife, Casilda (Cass) of Bedford, are two sons, Randy D. Arthur and his wife, Vanessa of Heltonville; Miles Dana Arthur and his wife, Susan of Bedford; four grandchildren, Nicholas D. Arthur and his wife, Heather of Heltonville, Maggie Bell and her husband, Gabe of Orlando, FL, Brady Arthur and Mavis Jo Arthur of Bedford; three step-grandchildren, Erick Luttrell and Clayton Luttrell both of Bedford and Jason Anderson of Heltonville; one great granddaughter, Olivia Bell. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-father, Brady Turner; one half-brother, and two half-sisters. Funeral Information Private graveside services will be conducted with Rev. Richard Tallman officiating. Burial will follow in Coveyville Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, August 11th at the Day & Carter Mortuary. The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the American Lung Assoc. or the Hoosier Uplands Hospice.
