Obituary of Donald Girtman

Bedford Donald Girtman, 74, a resident of the Hauck House in Bedford, died at 10:25 am on Monday, October 9, 2006 at Core Nursing and Rehab. Center in Bedford. Born December 22, 1931 in Bedford, he was the son of Calvin Virgil and Helen (Pelfrey) Girtman. He married Vera Girtman in July 1997 and she survives. He was a trade welder and a retired security officer. He attended the Burgoon Church. Surviving is his wife, Vera, of Bedford; one daughter, Helen Nola Thompson of North Hollywood, CA; one son, Manuel F. Coleman of Paramount, CA; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and one brother, Virgil Wayne Girtman of Denver, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Relda (Godsey) Girtman, one son, Donald Girtman, Jr., two grandsons and one brother. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Thursday, October 12th at the Burgoon Church with Rev. Harold Godsey officiating. Burial will follow at the Burgoon Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Thursday at the church. The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the Burgoon Church.
