Obituary of Jim Bob Franklin

Oolitic - Jim Bob Franklin, 25, of 513 Lafayette Street, died at 3:20 am on Saturday, November 20, 2004 at the Bedford Regional Medical Center from injuries sustained in an ATV accident. Born March 24, 1979 in Ypsilanti, Michigan he was the son of Jon (J.D.) and Carol Sue (Childers) Franklin. He was a laborer for Architectural Stone in Bedford. He loved to coon hunt and to ride his 4 wheeler Survivors include his parents of Oolitic; two sisters, Tangie Jenkins of Oolitic and Sandy Burnette and her husband Justin of Bedford; two nieces, Brittney Jenkins of Oolitic, and Macee Sue Burnette of Bedford; his God daughter, Martha Abigayle Craig; grandmother, Florence Childers of Bedford; grandfather, David Franklin of Bedford; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, James Winfred Childers, and his grandmother, June Franklin. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 23rd from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day and Carter Mortuary with Rev. Bill Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Hilltop Cemetery. Friends may call at the Day and Carter Mortuary from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, November 22nd and from 9:00 am until the hour of service on Tuesday.
