Obituary of Esther Faye Franklin

Ellettsville Esther Faye Franklin, 74, of 801 West Allen Street, Ellettsville, IN, died at 2:45 pm on Monday, May 11, 2009 at Monroe Hospital in Bloomington, IN. Born November 4, 1934 in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Frank and Beulah (Meadows) Flynn. She married Richard L. Franklin on June 19, 1956 and he preceded her in death on July 8, 1995. She was a homemaker and attended the Turning Point Apostolic Church. Survivors include three daughters, Kathy Ryan and husband, Phillip of Springville, Debbie LaLonde and husband, Art of Bluesprings, MO, and Paula (Franklin) Silvers of Bedford; three sons, Donald Franklin and Jeff Franklin both of Springville and Randy Franklin and wife, Balinda of Solsberry, IN; eleven grandchildren, Christina Ryan, Scott LaLonde, Jennifer Reed, Valerie Silvers, Emily Spires, Haley Franklin, Josh, Ashley, Kayla Franklin, Justin and Casey Franklin; nine great grandchildren; several brothers and sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one grandson, Tommy Ryan. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 15th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Gerald Flynn officiating. Burial will follow in the Springville Methodist Cemetery. Friends may call from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 14th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
