Obituary of Jeanette Franklin

Bedford Jeanette Franklin, 85, of Bedford, died at 9:15 pm on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Garden Villa in Bedford. Born January 29, 1925 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Emery and Lou (Tumey) Stewart. She married Maurice Franklin and he preceded her in death on February 9, 2009. She worked at RCA in Bloomington and operated a day nursery in Bedford. She was a member of the Needmore Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Pam Rollins and husband, Jerry of Bedford, Rebecca (Becky) Francis and husband, Jerry of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; one granddaughter, Gaytha Arnold of Muncie, IN; three great grandchildren, Brody, Libby and Alex Arnold. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and four brothers. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Tuesday, May 18th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Jim McDowell officiating. Burial will follow in the Hilltop Cemetery in Avoca. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, May 17th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
