Obituary of Lois R. Folmer

Bedford - Lois R. Folmer, 80, of 2754 U.S. Highway 50 E., Bedford, died at 4:28 pm on Thursday, April 20, 2006 at I.U. Medical Center, in Indianapolis. Born February 14, 1926 in Woodlawn, KY, she was the daughter of Joseph and Henrietta (Torline) Schwartz. She married Bill Folmer, Jr. on July 27, 1946 and he survives. She was the assistant auditor for the city of Newport, Kentucky and had taught at St. Anthony School in Kentucky. She was a homemaker, a dog groomer and a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Bedford. Surviving with her husband, Bill is one son, William Folmer, III and his wife Rhonda of Bedford; three daughters, Linda P. Edwards, Shari Mundy and her husband, Sam, all of Bedford, Jo Ann McPherson and her husband, James of Paoli; four grandchildren, Ashea Williams and her husband, Doug, William Folmer, IV, all of Bedford and Kessiah and Nakia McPherson both of Paoli; one great grandson, Robert E. Williams of Bedford, two sisters, Merce Humbert of Millford, OH and Juanita Schloemer of Erlanger, KY; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Earl Schwartz. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 am on Monday, April 24th at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Father Rick Eldred officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, April 23rd at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
