Obituary of Margaret Iantha Foddrill
Bedford-Margaret Iantha Foddrill, 93, of Bedford passed on into eternity at 3:30 A.M. on Saturday, December 22, 2007 at the Avon Health and Rehabilitation Center in Avon, IN She was a loving wife, mother and committed Christian throughout her life. Iantha was born on November 2, 1914 in Bazaar, KS to Roy and Harriett (Inlow) Shook. She was a self employed hairstylist in Bedford and a member and officer in the Indiana Hairdressers Guild in which she won several awards for hair styling. Iantha was a member of the Bedford Free Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was a member of Friends of Haiti and also went on several missions trips to Haiti and Mexico to help the poor and needy. She married Carl Edward Foddrill on February 12, 1937 and he preceded her in death on November 6, 1975.Surviving is one son: David Keith Foddrill and his wife, Linda of Avon, IN; four grandchildren: Timothy S. Foddrill and his wife, Dirancy of Indianapolis, IN; Thomas M. Foddrill and his wife, Lyn-Dee of Avon, IN; Julia Weida and her husband, Jason of Canton, MI and Jamie L. Gibbs and her husband, Cory of Plainfield, IN. She also had 5 great grandchildren: Steven and Jalie Gibbs, David and Rachael Foddrill and Miles Weida. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother: Gordon Shook. Funeral Information
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 27th from the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial following in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday, December 27th from 10:00 A.M. until the service time. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bedford Free Methodist Church
