Obituary of Ernie W. Flynn
Bedford Ernie W. Flynn, 59, of 1558 Judah-Logan Rd., Bedford, died at 10:45 pm on Saturday, June 24, 2006 at the Bloomington Hospital.
Born October 2, 1946 in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Harold and Catherine (Michaels) Flynn. He married Sheila Meadows on January 17, 1975 and she survives. He was a concrete contractor and a member of Laborers Union #741. He was a member of the Paynetown Pentecostal Church, the Gillen Post #33 American Legion and V.F.W. #1686 where he was a commander for thirteen years.
Surviving with his wife, Sheila is one daughter, Aimee Flynn of Bedford; one step-daughter, Tangie Holler and her husband, Mike of Bedford; three grandsons, Gavin, Miles and Riley; two sisters, Carolyn Childers and Trish Evans; four brothers, Don, Carl, Bill and Mark Flynn all of Bedford; several nieces, nephew, aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, June 28th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Darrell Pete Flynn officiating. Burial will follow in the Judah Church of Christ Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded at the graveside by members of Gillen Post #33 American Legion. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, June 27th and from 12:00 noon until the hour of service on Wednesday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
