Obituary of Charles Cecil Armstrong

Bedford-Charles Cecil Armstrong, 90, of Williams, IN passed away at 3:10 A.M. on Saturday, September 08, 2007 at Dunn Memorial Hospital in Bedford. Born December 6, 1916 in St. Berniece, IN he was the son of Carl and Rose (Craig) Armstrong Pruett. He married Margaret Spreen on July 10, 1937 and she survives. He was a farmer near Williams for many years. He loved to farm, listen to country western and gospel music. He was also an animal lover, especially horses. Surviving with his wife, Margaret of Williams is one daughter: Jean Williams and her husband John A. of Bedford; two sons: James D. Armstrong of Williams, and Carl D. Armstrong and his wife Penny of Bloomington; two grandchildren Lisa Williams Webb of Bedford, and John Williams, Jr. of Bedford; four great grandchildren: Alex Webb, Andrew Webb, Liza Williams, and Margaret Williams; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers: Otis Armstrong, Lowell Armstrong, John Pruett, and Emerson Pruett. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, September 12th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in the Williams Church of Christ Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 11th and also from 10:00 A.M. until service time on Wednesday.
