Obituary of James William Fisher
Bedford James William Fisher, 93, of Bedford, died at 11:28 pm on Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at the Dunn Memorial Hospital.
Born June 2, 1915 in Wheaton, IL, he was the son of William Noble and Augusta (Witte) Fisher. He married Thelma Clark and she preceded him in death on September 24, 1995. He was a veteran of WW II serving with the U.S. Army in Italy and Austria. Jim was a security guard for General Motors and was an assistant manager for Loudens Grocery and Thrifty-Mart for twenty years. He was a member of St. Johns Episcopal Church, American Legion Gillen Post #33 in Bedford and was an avid golfer and bowler.
Survivors include one daughter, Ann Guedet and her husband, Steve of Rockford, IL; one son, James Clark Fisher of Bedford; one grandson, Nicholas James Guedet, DVM and his fiancee Kelli Kramer, DVM; one sister, Evelyn Broker of Villa Park, IL; one brother, Ray Fisher of Wheaton, IL and several nieces and nephews. Private services are scheduled with burial in the Beech Grove Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded at the graveside by members of Gillen Post #33 American Legion. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, December 12th at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Donations Information
