Obituary of Paul J. Fields

BedfordPaul Fields, 91, of 1440 Dive Road, Bedford, passed away at 1:30 A.M. Sunday, May 4, 2003 at his residence after a short illness. Born on May 11, 1911 in Martin County, IN, he was the son of Luther Fields and Mary (Roberts) Fields. He retired from NWSC Crane in 1972 after working for thirty years. He still remained active in his concrete business several years. He married Annabell Taylor on November 9, 1935 and she survives. Surviving with his wife are two sons: William Willie Fields and his wife, Wilma of Bedford and Wilbur Fields and his wife, Judy of Oolitic; four grandchildren: Scott Fields and his wife, Dana; Lisa Tran and her husband, Quang; Kristin Fields and Garrick Fields and his wife Marsha and five great grandchildren. He was the last of his family, which included nine brothers and three sisters. He was a member of the Central Church of Christ where he served as a Deacon and a Teacher; member of the Bedford F & AM Lodge #14. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 7th at the Central Church of Christ with Darrell Simon and Randell Jernigan officiating. Burial will follow in the Dive Christian Cemetery. Friends may call at Day & Carter Mortuary on Tuesday, May 6th from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday at the church from 1:00 P.M. until service time.
