Obituary of Otis R. Armstrong

Woodburn, KY Otis R. Armstrong, 94, died a 5:00 pm on Thursday, January 4, 2007 at Hopkins Nursing Center in Woodburn, KY. He was co-owner with his wife, Agatha of Armstrong Furniture Village in Bedford for many years. They retired to New Port Richey, FL in 1980 where they spent many happy years before her death on January 18, 1992. They had married on February 2, 1934. Until their retirement, they were active members of the Bedford Free Methodist Church. He was a member of the Lifeline Quartet, and served as song leader and Sunday school teacher. Then their service continued at the Holiday Free Methodist in Holiday, FL. Otis was a past recipient of the Bedford Exchange Clubs Book of Golden Deeds Award. On June 6, 1993 he married Trudy Anderson and she survives. Other survivors include brother, Cecil Armstrong and wife, Margaret of Williams, daughter, Sherry Neeley and husband, Wayne of Bowling Green, KY, son, Rick Armstrong and wife, Brenda of Bedford, son, David Armstrong and wife, June of Oolitic; grandchildren, April Armstrong of Bedford, Paul Armstrong of Lafayette, Rachel Zollman of Bedford, Dewayne Neeley of Bowling Green, KY, and Michael Bartlett of Bedford; great grandchildren, James and Cameron Bartlett of Bedford, Sean and Savanna Armstrong of Lafayette, Zoe and Zane Zollman of Bedford, Jacob and Drew Hosteter and Fowler Neeley of Bowling Green, KY; two great great grandchildren, Jacqueline and Elias Bartlett of Bedford, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Otis was preceded in death by parents, Carl Armstrong, Rose Craig Pruett and step-father, Lenas Pruett, brothers, Lowell Armstrong, Emerson Pruett and John Pruett, granddaughter, Wynette Neeley Hosteter in 2004. Funeral Information Funeral services will be at Day & Carter Mortuary at 1:00 pm on Monday, January 8th with Dr. Wayne Neeley officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, January 7th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
