Obituary of Phillip Dean Evans
Bedford Phillip Dean Evans, 51, of 235 Dennison Schoolhouse Road, Bedford, died at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born April 30, 1955 in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Benjamin A. and Emma Jane (Brown) Evans. He married Muriel Dalton on November 10, 1973 and she survives. He was a maintenance supervisor for fourteen years at the Hidden Falls Camp and later was a maintenance worker for Woodland Management in Bloomington, IN. He was a member of the Fayetteville Baptist Church.
Surviving with his wife, Muriel is his mother, Emma Jane Sowders of Bedford; his step-mother, Neysa Evans of Bedford; one son, Joe Evans and his wife, Sarah; one daughter, Keyla Lindell and her husband, Luke all of Bedford; two grandchildren, Gavin Evans and Evan Lindell; one sister, Trudy Holtsclaw of Greenwood; a half-brother, Toby Evans of Orleans; a half-sister, Christie Sowders of Columbus, IN; two step-sisters, Leysa Nichols of Salem and Layne Dart of Jacksonville, FL; one step-brother, Eric Lewis of Fishers and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin. Funeral Information
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Friday, June 16th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Kenny Walden officiating. Burial will follow in Pinhook Cemetery.
