Obituary of Dixie J. Elkins

Bedford Dixie J. Elkins, 53, of 206 Shandell Drive, Bedford, died at 2:05 am on Saturday, December 6, 2008 at Kindred Hospital South in Greenwood, IN. Born August 31, 1955 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Frank and Norma (Johnson) Roberts. She married Preston Elkins on June 14, 1980 and he survives. She was an employee at NWSC CRANE. Survivors include her husband, Preston of Bedford; her parents, Frank and Norma Roberts of Springville; one daughter, Alison Philpott of Bedford; four grandchildren, Ashleigh and Alexis Philpott, Wyatt and Peyton Oliver; six brothers, Steve Roberts of AZ, Mike Roberts of Bloomington, Don Roberts, Frank Junior Roberts, Dan Roberts and Wayne Roberts all of Springville, several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, December 10th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Eric Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, December 9th and from 12:00 noon until the hour of service on Wednesday, December 10th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
