I am Dodd's cousin and just found him on the internet through his obituary. My sympathies to the family. Last time I saw Dodd was when I went to Aunt Betty and Uncle Guy's home to pick up Aunt Maxey. He met us for dinner and I enjoyed the visit and getting to see him again after all those years. We were born in the same year; my birthday was in December. The family will be in my prayers as you continue to deal with this loss.

Dodd is my cousin. His family visited my family(The White family)in Tennessee many summers when he was growing up. I being the youngest of 8 children always enjoyed having cousins to come to visit.No matter how we tried we could not get Dodd to drink that fresh cws milk. He wanted to know which cow gave chocolate milk? He always enjoyed riding my Dad's white horse. He would comment before he arrived at our place that he could smell Uncle Charlie's horse. Our Family is saddened by his death and know that Kathy,Amanda,Kimberly, Vance and his many friends are missing him greatly. WE are praying that the good memories will sustain you through this time of sadness. Love to all of you, Joy Turner

Dear Kathy, Dodd and I were friends at William Beaumont General Hospital in El Paso in 1964 and '65. I think we were sent to Viet Nam at about the same time, but our paths never crossed again. I have thought of him many times over the years, as he was one of the truly fine people I have ever met. Then, when I finally found him on the Internet, it was through an obituary notice. I think I sat without breathing for several minutes when I read it. I am so sorry for your loss. You and your family will be in my prayers. Sam Meals

TO MY FAMILY, WE WILL ALL MISS HIM SO MUCH HE WAS A WONDERFUL BRO-IN-LAW AND UNCLE! DODD WAS THE GREATEST COOK WE ALL REMEMBER COOK OUTS AT BEDFORD HOUSE,SWIMMIMG THE LAUGHS AND WE OFTEN ATE 8 OR 9PM BUT IT WAS ALWAYS WORTH THE WAIT WHEN DOOD WAS GRILLING. The Jeffries and Hillenburg Families were sorry to hear of Dr. Edington's passing. His Aunt was married to our Uncle, so we have mutual cousins and the Edingtons have always seemed like extended family to us. He served several of us as our Dentist for years, including our Mother & Grandmother, Ruth Hillenburg, who died at age 93 in 2003 with all her own teeth intact and still in good condition. Our prayers are with all the family at this time. May God Bless you all.
