Obituary of Kenneth Deckard

Bedford Kenneth Deckard, 74, of 3229 Washington Ave. Bedford, died at 10:45 pm on Friday, August 11, 2006 at the Bedford Regional Medical Center. Born February 16, 1932 in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Raymond and Nadine (Sears) Deckard. He married Elizabeth Pollard on November 14, 1953 and she survives. He was a salesman in the HVAC industry and a founding member of the Glory Road Ministries. He was a member of the Davis Memorial Church of the Nazarene. Surviving with his wife, Elizabeth, are three sons, Leo Deckard and his wife Lisa of Arlingtron, IN; Kenneth Deckard, Jr. and his wife, Karen of Bedford and Richard Deckard and his wife, Shaunna of Springville, IN; seven grandchildren; one step grandchild; one great grandchild; three brothers, Bill, Raymond and Rance Deckard; one sister, Esther Scott. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Mansel Deckard and one sister, Helen Hobaugh. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 15th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Brian Rogers, Rev. Gregory Eads and Rev. Becky Ryan officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, August 14th and from 9:00 am until the hour of service on Tuesday, August 15th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
