Obituary of Linda M. Deckard

Bedford Linda (Mammy) Deckard, 66, of Bedford, was called home on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 2:14 am. She was surrounded by her loving family. Born December 20, 1947 in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Malcom Hilderbrand and Anna (Glassco) Hilderbrand. She married Eugene Gene Deckard and he preceded her in death on January 3, 2014. She was a surgery tech at IU Health. Survivors include a son, Michael Joe Deckard and his wife Nancy, of Norman; a daughter, Becky (Deckard) Tumey and her husband Scott Tumey, of Bedford; two grandchildren, Tiffany Deckard of Orleans and Jeremy Tumey of Bedford; two great-grandchildren, Tyson Mclaughlin and Alicia McCart; two granddogs, Buddy Joe and Izzy Ann; a sister, Clara Huddleston of Norman; two brothers, Richard Hilderbrand of Norman and Mike Hilderbrand of Arkansas She is preceded in death by her husband Gene; her mother and father; three sisters, Marilyn Sue Patton, Glenda Elnora Robinson, and Ethel Rose Hilderbrand; two brothers, Rodney Hilderbrand, and Malcom Hilderbrand Jr. Funeral Information Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Jan and Martie Spaulding officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Monday, November 17th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
