Obituary of Beverly Burton 'B' Davis

Bedford Beverly Burton B Davis, 88, of Bedford died at 2:34 am on Sunday October 24, 2010 at Bedford Regional Medical Center. Born May 5, 1922 in Bedford, IN, he was the son of Isom Davis Jr. and Lenna (Burton) Davis. He married Doris Muriel Richason on October 21, 1941 and they were married for sixty-three years. She preceded him in death. Beverly was the owner of Davis Weld-craft and was retired from General Motors. He was a 32nd degree Mason and enjoyed flying airplanes and helicopters. Survivors include his children, Beverley Staggs and husband Danny of Bedford, Jim Davis and wife Sheila of Bedford, Robert Davis and wife Kathy of Bedford, LaRue K. Seims of Washington D.C., and Gary Davis of Bedford; a half sister, Mary Alice Karr and husband Lee of Mitchell; twelve grandchildren, Brandon Vincent and wife, Dusty, Julie Berberi and husband Dille, David Staggs, Tammy Martin and husband, Bob, Jimmy Davis, Joey Davis and wife Tammy, Jeana Godsey and husband Stephen, Carl Vincent and wife Amber, Jeremy Vincent, Staci Thacker and husband Kent, Michael Davis and wife Kathy; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Beverly was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and one brother, Herman Davis. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am Thursday, October 28th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Ronnie McLain officiating. Burial will follow at Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, October 27st at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
