Obituary of John Davidson

Bedford John Davidson, Sr., 85, of 520 W Street, Bedford, died at 10:54 pm on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at the Bedford Regional Medical Center. Born March 6, 1922, he was the son of Woodrow and Sudie (Smith) Davidson. He married Ellen Cobb on March 23, 1943 and she survives. He was retired from General Motors where he was a production worker in the Piston Department. He was a member of the U.A.W. Local #440 and the Park Place Church of God in Bedford. Surviving with his wife, Ellen is one daughter, Flossie Patton of Bloomington; two sons, William Dallas Davidson of Needmore and John Marty Davidson of Bedford; five grandchildren, Ginger Ratcliff, Jill Rogers, Shelly Conard, Brandon Davidson and Bridget Deckard; four great grandchildren; one brother, Edward (Bud) Davidson of Scotland, KY; one sister, Clonie Baxter of Baltimore, MD. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Delmar and Finley Davidson; sisters, Sylvia, Edna and four in infancy. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, October 10th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Millard Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 9th and from 12:00 noon until the hour of service on Wednesday at the Day & Carter Mortuary. View Video Tribute
