Obituary of Harold L. Crane
Bedford Harold L. Crane, 76, of 185 Anderson Road, Bedford, died at 6:00 pm on Sunday, May 17, 2009 at the Meadowood Health Pavilion in Bloomington, IN.
Born August 23, 1932 in Martin Co., he was the son of John and Juanita Crane. He married Linda L. (Mitchell) Hupp in September 1987 and she survives. He was a barber in Fayetteville for forty-five years and had driven a school bus for twenty-seven years. He was a member of the Fayetteville Baptist Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Korean War. He was a member of the V.F.W., Gillen Post #33 American Legion, N.R.A. and was a charter member of the Indian Creek Volunteer Fire Dept.
Surviving with his wife, Linda are two daughters, Holly Page and husband, Scott of Greenwood, Gaylynn Breighner and husband, Drew of Hanover, PA; one son, Michael Crane and wife, Julie of Bedford; two step-sons, Darren Hupp of Bedford and Timothy Hupp and companion, Tosha York of Columbus; seven grandchildren, Joshua, Jessie and Jeanna Page, Nathan and Jacob Breighner, Zach and Isaac Crane; four step-grandchildren, Cloee, Connor and Thomas Hupp, Brentyn York; one brother, Larry Crane and wife, Pat of Anaheim, CA; one sister of Trinity Springs; several nieces and nephews and his hunting and fishing buddy, Chad Ritter. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Richard; a sister and a son (both in infancy); a grandson, Jonathon Page. Funeral Information
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 21st from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Richard Tallman and Larry Ritter officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Pallbearers are Zach Crane, Isaac Crane, Joshua Page, Scott Page, Darren Hupp, Timmy Hupp, Chad Ritter and Drew Breighner. Military rites will be accorded at the graveside by members of Gillen Post #33 American Legion.Friends may call from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 20th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
