Obituary of Edwin Cap Craig
Silverville Edwin (Cap) Craig, 80, of Silverville, died at 9:05 pm on Monday, June 11, 2012 at the I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born June 4, 1932 in Lawrence County, he was the son of Forrest and Zona (West) Craig. He married Anna Dee Blake on May 26, 1952 and she survives. He was a carpenter and school bus drive for the NLCS for about 37 years. He loved draft horses and was an avid farmer and cattle man. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving as a military policeman stationed at Fort Dix, New Jersey
Survivors include his wife, Anna Dee of Silverville, one daughter, Rowena Hall and son-in-law, Charlie Wilson of Silverville, one great grandson, Keaton Wilson, five sisters, Norma Terry and husband Bill of Silverville, Viola Waggoner and husband Loren of Silverville, Anah Hall and husband Leonard of Fayetteville, Wanda Craig of Fayetteville, Doris Conner of Fayetteville, two brothers, Donald Craig of Needmore and Audra (Short) Craig of Silverville, one sister-in-law, Frances Craig of Bedford, one brother-in-law, Cleo Blake of Indianapolis and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his, parents, two brothers, Lowell Craig and Vince Craig, two brothers-in-law, Rev. Merla Craig and Vic Conner, four sisters-in-law, Clarice Craig, Mary Esther Craig, Ruth Blake and Ruth Craig. Funeral Information
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Friday, June 15, 2012 at the Day & Carter Mortuary with Dennis Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Silverville Baptist Church Cemetery with military rites accorded at the grave. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm 9:00 pm on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
