Obituary of Stephen Jenkins
Fayetteville Stephen Jenkins, 71, of Fayetteville, died at 10:38 am on Friday, November 2, 2012 at the I.U. Health Bedford Hospital.
Born October 14, 1941 in Salem, IN, he was the son of Byrl T. and Louise F. (Goodman) Jenkins. He married Teresa Craig on July 9, 1988 and she survives. Stephen was a Mussler and a retired truck driver from Crane. He was in the United States Marine Corps, a member of the Fayetteville Baptist Church, Shoals American Legion, NRA and the Boat Club. Stephen enjoyed trapping, hunting and fishing. He will be missed by all.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa of Fayetteville; five children, Stephen T. Jenkins Jr., Candacelynn Inman and husband Matt, Nelson B. Jenkins, Idamarie L. Jenkins, Kimberly J. Jenkins; one granddaughter, Hayden Renee Inman; ; two sisters, Anah Crane of Fayetteville, Elizabeth Hickman and husband Tony of Loogootee; four brothers, David Jenkins and wife Louise of Chickamauga, GA, Joseph Jenkins and wife Sue of Harvest, AL, Mark Jenkins and wife Becky of Humboldt, TN, Philip and wife Erin of Huntsville, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents, four children, Andrea Rose Jenkins, Andrew J. Jenkins, Robin April Jenkins, Sydney Julayne Jenkins; a grandchild, Andrew David (Jones) Jenkins; his mother-in-law and father-in-law and a sister-in-law. Funeral Information
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, November 5, 2012 at the Fayetteville Baptist Church with Pastor Kenny Walden officiating. Burial will follow in the Silverville Missionary Baptist Church with military graveside rites. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Sunday, November 4, 2012 at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
