Obituary of Ruth Marie Corey

Oolitic Ruth Marie Corey, 93, of Oolitic, died at 3:45 PM on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at her residence. Born November 5, 1916 in Knightstown, IN, she was the daughter of Verna and Kyle (Bennett) Moore. She married Willie A. Corey in 1946 and he preceded her in death on November 25, 1980. They were the owners and operators of the Windmill Drive-In in Oolitic for several years and a fifty-two year member of the Dive Christian Church. Survivors include two daughters, Suzette Kern and Marilou Parsons and husband, Larry all of Bedford; one son, Dennis Alan Corey and wife, Brenda of Bedford; one sister, Lola Mae Walker of Indianapolis; eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, Mildred Lynn Speer and Joanne Kirkman; five brothers, Stanley, Kenneth, Wayne, Cecil and Myron Moore; a great grandson, Lincoln Alan Corey. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Friday, April 23rd in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Johnny Johnson officiating. Entombment will follow in the Cresthaven Mausoleum. Friends may call from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Friday, April 23rd at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
