Dear Brenda and Family, I am so so sorry for your loss. I recently met Denny at the Moore-Jarvis reunion. I do ancestry research for a hobby. I called Denny a few months ago to explain how we were related. He was so receptive and nice I knew I liked him immediately. I wish I had gotten to know him better. Sincerely, Jill Morris.

Jeff & family,
I'm very sorry to hear to hear about your dad, father in law and grandpa. So glad I got to meet him and talk to him a little bit my chair year at the festival. I always enjoyed seeing the pictures of him on Monica's Facebook. Guitar in hand and smile on his face. I'm sure you will all miss him but never lose sight of the fact that there are many more good times with your dad on the other side. Let that console you there in this difficult time :-) Have a great day of 'celebration' on Friday. Celebrate a good man.

Vivacious. A word meaning "Lively in Spirit". A perfect description of Denny. A man with a smile and laugh big enough to lift the spirit of the entire campground. A Legend. Full of songs, and stories and experiences that he was so very good at sharing, all in an effort to make your day brighter. What a loss for us here on earth. But what a great gain for Heaven. Can you imagine how happy he is right about now sitting at the right hand side of his God, picking and strumming guitar and singing his heart out. Denny, my friend...we will see you again someday, and until then we will miss you, and we will do our very best to keep singin around the fire, and keep teling tall tales. Life is sweet, and memories are precious. To Brenda and Jeff, and family Please know you are loved and we are praying for healing and peace for you all.

I can't remember a time when I didn't know the Corey Family and they are/were all wonderful people. I worked for Ruth and Willie at the Windmill in 1963 and later on was a Co-Worker with Willie at Indiana Bell.
When I was married to Gary Kelley, Denny was a frequent visitor at our house, playing music, playing cards. Denny was always smiling and laughing and his gentle spirit drew people to him. Not only was he friends with me, but with my entire family as well. All four of my siblings were upset at hearing of his passing.
Even after Gary and I parted, Denny and the rest of their group remained friends with me, and in the past few years, he was also friends with our daughter Terri after she grew up. You could always confide in Denny, he would listen and not judge but encourage you to reach a solution on your own.
I know he missed Ruth and Willie and his cousin Mark an awful lot so I like to think of them being reunited and waiting on the rest of us.
My heart goes out to Brenda and their kids and Grand kids. We lost Willie way too soon too. I'm thankful to have known Denny and to count him as a true friend.

Suzette & Denny's Families: I am so sorry for your loss. We now go back over 50 years (Oolitic High School-1965) and I still remember Dennis as a fine young man, as he turned out to be in his life. His credits??? WOW!! Now, he has earned his highest possible credit, the doors to Heaven. Celebrate his life, he is not gone forever, for we shall all meet again. He will be waiting "on the other side" for us all. Please find this peace. Karen Tolliver Kean
