Obituary of Mamie Corbin

Bedford Mamie Corbin, 89, of Plaza Dr. (Cambridge Square Apts.) in Bedford, died at 1:45 pm on Sunday, March 6, 2005 at Westview Manor in Bedford. Born April 15, 1915 in Missouri, she was the daughter of Chris and Flora (Devers) Salts. She married George Corbin on May 25, 1936 and he died August 29, 1975. She was employed at Sarkes-Tarzian in Bloomington and NWSC CRANE. She was a member of the First Church of God in Bedford. Survivors include two sons, LeRoss Corbin and his wife, Jan of Bedford and Gary Corbin and his wife, Sheila of Lansing, MI; grandchildren, Susan Corbin and Sally Polec both of Lansing, MI and David and Michael Corbin both of Bedford; eight great grandchildren; two cousins who were raised as sisters, Darlene Root and Barbara Ceager both of California. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, Gertrude Wardlow and Helen Eskeli and her aunt and uncle, Ross and Ina Minkler with whom she lived from the age of fourteen. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Friday, March 11th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Alan Reed officiating.
