Obituary of Kathleen Adams Jeffries

Kathleen Adams Jeffries, aged 86, of Mitchell went to be with the Lord at 6:10 am Friday, October 17, 2014 with her husband and children by her side. She was born December 28, 1928 in Ramsey, Illinois to Leo and Hazel Adams. Kathleen was a devoted Christian and attended Southland Church of Christ where she served as Sunday schoolteacher, in benevolence and in missions for many years. She enjoyed volunteering at Spring Mill Bible Camp in Mitchell for years, as well. She is beloved wife to her surviving husband of 60 years Willard Jeffries, and loving mother to her three children, Calvin Jeffries, Diana Daggy and Karen Espenant. She is survived by sister Jane Flake, and brother Steve Adams and other family members - grandchildren: Nikolas Jeffries, Vanessa and Carmen Scuito, Nathaniel and Amber Jeffries, Arthur and Sarah Helton, Mary and Danny Curtis, Patrick Brown, Billy and Daniel Daggy, as well as great-grandchildren: Draezen Helton, Kristopher, Lucas and Sean Jeffries, Tristan, Jeffries Adain Jeffries, Courtney, and Tyler Scuito. Funeral Information Visitation will be held at Day and Carter Mortuary Monday, October 20, 2014 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm. Family and friends will then adjourn in processional to Cresthaven Chapel of Peace for memorial service at 2:30 pm.
