Obituary of Hazel F. Coleman

Bedford Hazel F. Coleman, 77, of 2728 I Street, Bedford, died at 3:30 am on Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at her residence. Born June 17, 1929 in Greene County, she was the daughter of Robert and Delphia (Holland) Jackson. She married James Coleman on June 16, 1951 and he preceded her in death on August 14, 1993. Hazel was employed at General Motors for forty years. She was involved with the White River Humane Society where she shared a deep devotion for all the animals. The White River Humane Society recognized her contributions by naming an award in her honor. The Coleman Award is given annually in her honor. Survivors include one son, Andy Coleman of Bedford and one granddaughter, Abbi Coleman of Bedford. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Funeral Information Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 16th at the Green Hill Cemetery. No calling hours are scheduled.
