Obituary of Ernie Joel Cobb

Ernie Joel Cobb, 36, of Stanford, IN formerly of Bedford died Sunday, November 9, 2003 in Mitchell. Born September 22, 1967 in Bedford, he was the son of Steve and Linda (Stillions) Cobb. He was a superintendent for Reynolds Construction in charge of treatment plant construction. He was a member of the Laborers Union Local #741 and attended Davis Memorial Church of the Nazarene. He graduated from Bedford North Lawrence High School with the class of 1985 and received the presidents physical fitness award two years in a row. He went on to be V.I.C.A. Indiana State Welding champion and followed it by building Walmart in Bedford and other Walmart Stores. Survivors include his parents of Judah; three sons, Levi Erin, Dallas Earl and Ernie Devin Cobb along with their mother, Lisa Cobb all of Mitchell; one brother, Burt Edward Cobb and his wife, Kary of Bedford; paternal grandmother, Jeanette Cobb of Needmore; nephews, Jacob Earl and Evan DeBliek of Michigan. He was preceded in death by one brother, Earl Dean Cobb, grandparents, Earl Cobb and Harley and Nellie (Deckard) Stillions. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Thursday, November 13th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Brian Rogers and Rev. Lewis Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Judah Church of Christ Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, November 12th and from 9:00 am until the hour of service on Thursday, November 13th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
