Obituary of Zona Childers

Bedford Zona Childers, 86, of Bedford, formerly of Avoca, died at 6:40 pm on Thursday, May 3, 2007 at the Hospitality House in Bedford. Born July 9, 1920 in Sprule, KY, she was the daughter of Henry and Martha (Helton) Cobb. She married Creed Childers on October 17, 1938 and he died February 9, 2004. She was a homemaker and a member of the Springville Pentecostal Mission. Survivors include two sons, Hurshel Childers and his wife, Wanda of Judah, Dale Childers and his wife, Carolyn of Springville; three daughters, Betty Flynn and her husband, Don, Nancy Kluesner and her husband, Linus all of Springville and Minnie Sue Flynn of Debary, FL; two sisters, Elizabeth Ledford and Ellen Davidson; one brother, Marvin Cobb; thirteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, Jim, John and Kenneth Cobb; two sisters, Effie Hackler and Maude McBride; one brother (in infancy) and a great granddaughter, Brittany Boshears. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Monday, May 7th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Wendell Phillips officiating.
