Obituary of Frank E. Cheek
Bedford Frank E. Cheek, 76, of Needmore, died at 7:30 pm on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at home following a brief illness.
He was born March 3, 1934 in Lawrence County, the son of Roy and Winnie (Godsey) Cheek. He married Sue Turner on October 20, 1952 and together they owned and operated Turners Grocery in Needmore.
He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend.
Survivors include his loving wife Sue, one daughter, Cindy Anne Browning and husband Tim of Bedford, one granddaughter, Suzi Pointer and husband Chris of Spencer, two great grandchildren, Chance and Victoria, one brother, Dale Cheek and wife Brenda of Monticello, IN, three sisters, Rosalee Hammond, Faye Carter, Cathlene Nelson and husband Conrad, all of Bedford, a sister-in-law, Diane Cheek, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, Timothy Browning, one brother, Raymond Cheek, two sisters, Effie Grace and May Ingle. Funeral Information
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00pm on Monday, February 28, 2011 from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Lewis Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the hour of the service on Monday, February 28, 2011 at the mortuary.
