Obituary of Phyllis June Chavis

Springville Phyllis June (Jones) Chavis, 67, of 51 Airy Hills Addition, Springville, died at 9:33 pm on Sunday, September 21, 2008 at the Monroe Hospital in Bloomington. Born December 20, 1940, she was the daughter of Charles H. and Fronia M. (Colyer) Jones. She was an employee at Experience Works in Bedford and was of the Pentecostal Faith. Survivors include three daughters, Diana Cooper and her husband, Steve, Sheila Arthur and her husband, Tony all of Williams, Angela Davidson and her husband, Tony of Bloomington; one son, Jack Cornwell and his wife, Carla of Bedford; twenty-one grandchildren, Tammy Higgs, Holly Cooper, Steven Cooper, Jr., Jack Cornwell, Cassandra Cornwell, Jesse Cornwell, John Morgan, Katie Morgan, Donald Morgan, Tony Arthur, Jimmy Arthur, Onnie Reed, Tonya Johnson, Paul Arthur, Beth Arthur, Kenny Arthur, Sam Arthur, Michael Hill, Stephenie Hill, Ashley Hill, Keven Jones, Jr. and Kyle Davidson; twenty-five great grandchildren; one brother, Charles H. Jones of California; two sisters, Bonnie Patton of Harrodsburg and Janet Tyree of Bloomington; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, Timothy Arthur; four brothers, Clifford, Doyle, Darel and Ralph Jones. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Thursday, September 25th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Jeff Smith officiating.
