Obituary of John A. James

Bedford-John A. James 81, of 425 S Street, Bedford, died at 3:55 am on Monday, February 14, 2005 at the Bloomington Hospital. Born March 10, 1923 in Waldon, IN, he was the son of Robert A. and Fairy Pearl (Huffer) James. He married Sarah Catherine Bolding in June of 1948 and she survives. He was employed at General Motors, Central Foundry Division retiring in 1973. He was Veteran of WWII serving in Army Air Corps where he was a mechanic. He was a member of the American Legion Gillen Post #33 and VFW Post 1686. Survivors include his wife, Sarah of Bedford, one son, Stephen A. James of Bedford. He was preceded in death by his parents and one step-daughter Donna Jean McClain Beasley in 1964. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 17th, from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pat Blyeth officiating. Burial will follow at Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, February 16th. Military services will be accorded at the grave by the American Legion Gillen Post #33.
