Obituary of Vivian E. Chastain

BedfordVivian E. Chastain, 81, of 2232 26th Street, passed away at 7:45 A.M. Saturday, October 14th at the Hospitality House in Bedford, Born on May 13, 1925 she was the daughter of Emmett Owen and Kate (Ellis) Owen. She first married William Vernon Pierce on July 23, 1943 and he passed away on June 17, 1987. She married Jack Chastain on January 3, 1989 and he survives. She was retired from General Motors and was of protestant faith. Surviving with her husband, Jack of Bedford is one daughter: Robbie Pierce (J. Dillard) Fletcher of Elkhart, IN; three grandsons: Joshua (Ashley) Fletcher; Quinton (Rachael) Fletcher and Adam (Anna) Fletcher; one great granddaughter: Lorellei Fletcher; one sister: Ruth Johnson of Bedford and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, two sisters: Vera Jane McPike and Violet Duncan; three brothers: Farrell Owen, Russell Owen and John Owen Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, October 16th from the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with entombment following at Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 15th at Day & Carter Mortuary.
