Obituary of Russell O. Chandler

BedfordRussell O. Rocky Chandler, 64, of 424 South Kenray Lake Road, Bedford passed away Saturday, August 2nd at Bloomington Hospital. Born on October 30, 1943 in Lawrence County he was the son of Elza J. Chandler and Beatrice Mae (Colglazier) Chandler. An employee for RCA in Bloomington, he left and started his own garage in the late 70s and early 80s where he worked as a mechanic. He then started his own constructing and remodeling business where he was still active and was also president of the board for Kenray Lake. Mr. Chandler married Marilyn M. Morgan on March 19, 1973 and she survives. Surviving with his wife, Marilyn of Bedford is one son: A.J. Chandler and his wife, Christina of Bedford; two daughters: Marla Chandler-Akins and her husband, Teddy of Bedford and Tammy Morgan of Bedford; five grandchildren: Shelby Chandler, Sarah Morgan, Regan Howell, Connor Morgan and Madison Chandler; three sisters: Jeannette Silvers and Marsha Ryan both of Bedford and Ginny Hawley of Bloomington; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother: Arnold Chandler. Funeral Information Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M.
