Obituary of Kenneth Rex Chaillaux

Bedford Kenneth Rex Chaillaux, 69, of 693 W. Coxton Road, Bedford, died at 5:00 am on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at his residence. Born August 1, 1942 in Lawrence Co., he was the son of James Gordon and Olive (Case) Chaillaux. He married Joyce Walls on June 3, 1961 and she survives. He was a retired pipefitter with the Pipefitter & Steamfitters Local #136. He was a member of the Old Union Christian Church, Gillen Post #33 American Legion and Bedford Boat & Sportsmans Club. Survivors include his wife, Joyce of Bedford; one daughter, Michelle Fouch and husband, Jeff, of Bedford; one son, Bryan Scott Chaillaux of Bedford; seven grandchildren, Shile Anderson and wife, Brittany, Heather Short and husband, Toby, Darrah Hatchett and husband, Woody, Josh Chaillaux and wife, Jessica, Sutton Hout and husband, Justin, T. J. Chaillaux, Zechariah Chaillaux and wife, Andrea; nine great grandchildren, Zane, Dirk, Nadia, Olivia, Dax, Blayton, Keaton, Garrett and Brylie; one sister, Sharon Fox and husband, Jerry of Bedford; one brother, Bob Chaillaux and wife, Terry of Jackson Co.; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Kent Chaillaux; one sister, Nancy Baker and one great grandson, Ayden. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 23rd in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Bill Raines and Larry Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Union Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, August 22nd and from 9:00 am until the hour of service on Tuesday, August 23rd at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
